Experience
I'm Karin Moore, a DC-licensed attorney who has spent a good part of my legal career at the intersection of law, policy, and purpose—advising nonprofit trade associations on how to lead with integrity, navigate complexity, and stay true to their mission.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve served as general counsel and senior legal advisor to national associations working across various regulated industries, including food, beverage, beverage alcohol and energy. I’ve helped boards rewrite bylaws, guided organizations through regulatory uncertainty, advised on compliance and lobbying rules, and supported leadership teams through times of growth and challenge. I know what it’s like to be the only lawyer in the room—and how to make legal guidance accessible, strategic, and aligned with organizational goals.
I launched this fractional general counsel practice to support small and mid-sized associations that need experienced legal insight, but don’t have the resources—or the need—for full-time in-house counsel. My clients get responsive, pragmatic support that’s tailored to how they work and what they value most.
